Hezbollah will not join the fray in the Israeli-Iranian war, a Lebanese government source told al-Jadeed Thursday, after an Iranian official told al-Jazeera that Hezbollah would act if the United States intervened to back up its ally Israel.
"The communication between the Lebanese Army and Hezbollah is reassuring," the source said, ruling out such a possibility.

Hezbollah condemned Thursday Israel's threats to kill Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei after an Israeli hospital was hit during an Iranian missile attack.
"Khamenei openly declares that he wants Israel destroyed -- he personally gives the order to fire on hospitals. An Israeli strike on the southern town of Kfarjoz in Nabatieh killed one person overnight, with Israel saying he was "the head of Hezbollah's anti-tank unit in Shebaa."
Media reports said another person, standing on the balcony of his house near the strike, later died of his injuries.
