At Least 18 Die in Suicide Attack on U.N. Bldg. in Nigeria

A suicide bomb blast rocked the U.N. compound in the Nigerian capital Abuja on Friday, killing at least 18 people, leaving others trapped and blowing out large areas of the building, officials said.

Witnesses reported that the bomb went off after a suspect rammed a car through the front gate. Parts of the first two floors of the building were blown out and rescue workers scrambled to rescue those left inside.

BBM Music allows BlackBerry users to select 50 songs from a catalog of millions of tracks for their own personal playlist, said Alistair Mitchell, RIM's vice president of BBM platform and integrated services. BBM users can share songs from that list with friends who use the instant messenger service.

Flash floods triggered by heavy monsoon rains swept through a village in northwestern Pakistan, killing 33 people and leaving dozens others missing, disaster management officials said Friday.

The floods hit the remote Kundian Valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Wednesday, destroying houses and other infrastructure, said Syed Asghar Ali Shah, the acting head of disaster management in the province.

Nokia on Thursday unveiled its two cheapest cellphones to date aimed at attracting users in the low end market as it fights increasing competition from Asian manufacturers.
