An Internal Security Forces patrol foiled a terror attack by an Islamic State group affiliate that planned to target the Grand al-Mansouri mosque in the northern city of Tripoli, media reports said.

British Chargé d’Affaires Ben Wastnage emphasized that the Lebanese army is the “sole legitimate defender of Lebanon,” as he reiterated the UK's support for the military institution, a press release said.
