Images Released of 'Mrs. Doubtfire' Robber in California

Police have released surveillance images of a wanted man dubbed the "Mrs. Doubtfire" bandit because he was disguised as a woman during a bank robbery in California.

The Santa Cruz Sentinel newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/1akHaNf ) the suspect was seen acting suspiciously Friday inside a U.S. Bank branch in Santa Cruz.

Kanye West, Photographer, Settle Lawsuit over Airport Attack

Kanye West and a paparazzo he attacked have settled a lawsuit, at least in part with a handshake and an apology.

West was sued by Daniel Ramos after the 2013 attack outside a terminal at Los Angeles International Airport and the case was scheduled to go to trial next week. Ramos' attorney Gloria Allred wrote in a statement issued Tuesday that the case had been settled and West had apologized to her client.

Scientists Map Caribbean Seafloor as Part of 12-Year Project

U.S. scientists on Tuesday completed a nearly two-week mission to explore waters around the U.S. Virgin Islands as part of a 12-year project to map the Caribbean seafloor and help protect its reefs.

A team with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration studied an area of 270 square miles (700 square kilometers), using equipment including underwater gliders and a remotely operated vehicle to help map the seafloor and locate areas where fish spawn. They focused mostly on the southern coast of St. Croix and the northwestern coast of St. Thomas.

The two plans are among the most popular and had the best evidence that dieters could lose meaningful amounts of weight and keep it off for at least a year, the review authors said.

College Tie-ins Allow more to Join Michigan Robotics Craze

An increasing number of students from Michigan's most financially strapped urban school districts, including Detroit and Flint, are joining robotics teams because local universities are making space and materials available at no charge.

The University of Michigan started the trend with its Michigan Engineering Zone. The 5,200-square-foot facility in Detroit, filled with two computer labs, a machine shop, robot testing area and collaborative workstations, hosts 18 teams from city schools. Many of them wouldn't be able to participate in the FIRST robotics contest otherwise.

Samsung Shows Signs of Emerging from Earnings Slump

Samsung's quarterly operating earnings fell 31 percent from a year earlier but the drop wasn't as big as expected in a sign the smartphone and computer chip giant may be emerging from its profit slump.

The company on Tuesday estimated its January-March operating profit at 5.9 trillion won ($5.4 billion), exceeding the average 5.5 trillion won forecast in a FactSet survey of analysts.

Arizona Home of Pluto Discovery Dedicates Year to Icy World

A sushi restaurant in downtown Flagstaff added a Pluto roll to its menu. A yearlong exhibit celebrates the work of the amateur astronomer in the city who discovered the now-dwarf planet in 1930. And a walking tour leads people to the movie theater and restaurant the astronomer visited the night of his big find.

Pluto has taken on new prominence in Flagstaff, where it was spotted by Clyde Tombaugh from Lowell Observatory and where residents have since been fascinated with the icy world. The worldwide attention that followed the discovery meant Flagstaff would be known as more than a railroad, cattle ranching and timber community on the way to the Grand Canyon.

'Dancing With the Stars' to Hit the Road this Summer

"Dancing With the Stars" fans will have an opportunity to see some of the pros freestyle, jive and pasodoble as the show hits the road again this summer.

The long-running ABC competition show, which pairs celebrities with professional dancers, will tour in more than 40 cities starting June 13 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. "Dancing With the Stars: Live!" will run through Aug. 11, hosted by all-stars season champion Melissa Rycroft. Stops on the tour will include Toledo, Ohio; El Paso, Texas; and Las Vegas.
