Jumblat: Strife is the Only Alternative to Dialogue

Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblat said on Monday that igniting the north front and dragging the country into strife is the only alternative to dialogue “which certain political powers oddly refuse to participate in.”
In his weekly editorial in the PSP-affiliated al-Anbaa magazine, Jumblat expressed his concern over the security events erupting in the northern city of Tripoli, specifically the tit-for-tat abductions that took place Sunday night between Bab al-Tabbaneh and Jabal Mohsen rival neighborhoods.
“I denounce the burning of the Alawite properties in Tripoli” he said, adding that such actions “ignite disputes and lead to more tensions.”
The rival Tripoli neighborhoods of Bab al-Tabbaneh and Jabal Mohsen have been gripped by frequent fighting, reflecting a split between Lebanon's parties where the March 14-led opposition backs the revolt in Syria while a ruling coalition led by Hizbullah supports the Damascus regime.

If war they wish, let them have it. Lebanese civil war lasted 30 years, yet the people still learned nothing. Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results each time.

It's not that simple, geha. You cannot just say "M8 are pushing for civil war." There is blood on both sides. Both sides have dirty hands.

No Mr Joumblatt, JUSTICE is the only alternative to strife ! Justice means the rule of the law, a strong state, and the severe punishment of those who shoud be behind bars, if not hanging from a rope, and not media stars, making rigged daily political statements !
