MP Fadlallah attacks presidency, asserts Hezbollah readiness amid regional shifts

Hezbollah lawmaker Hassan Fadlallah questioned the President’s ability to succeed after creating what he termed a "deep rift" with a significant segment of the Lebanese public.

Fadlallah accused President Joseph Aoun of breaking core commitments he made to Hezbollah before his election.

Fadlallah said Hezbollah does not oppose diplomacy per se, but it does not accept compromise on Lebanon’s sovereignty. "Who said we do not want diplomacy?" he asked. "We want diplomacy, but we want it based on rights, national consensus, and strength."

Fadlallah claimed that Hezbollah maintains full operational capabilities to target Israeli troop deployments across Lebanon. He said forces on the ground are actively fortifying their positions and preparing for confrontation.

"The Resistance today is firm, it is regaining its strength, and actively preparing to confront the enemy," Fadlallah said, expressing confidence in the broader geopolitical environment. "Our regional standing is very comfortable, and Lebanon will be influenced by these new equations."
