Israel strikes south Lebanon, targets again paramedics
Seven people, including children, were killed by Israeli airstrikes on south Lebanon Monday.
A strike on a home in the southern village of Kfar Sir had killed one person early Monday. Another strike occurred after paramedics from the Islamic Health Society, Hezbollah’s health arm, arrived at the scene, killing two paramedics and wounding another person.
The health ministry later said that a strike on the southern town of al-Qantara killed a family of four, including two children.
Israeli strikes have deepened Lebanon's humanitarian crisis, with more than 850 people killed and over 850,000 displaced.
Israel has been using the double-tap strike tactic in Lebanon, killing first responders who gather at the hit location.
An Israeli strike killed Saturday 12 doctors, paramedics and nurses working at a healthcare center in the town of Burj Qalaway.
On Monday, the Israeli army struck several towns and villages in south Lebanon including Yater, Habboush, Nabatieh, al-Sultaniyyeh, Burj Qalaway, al-Taybeh, Jabal al-Botm, Shaqra and Aitit. Reports said the strike on Aitit targeted paramedics.
