An arrest warrant in absentia was issued Thursday for firebrand journalist Maria Maalouf, who is accused of “libel, defamation and incitement” against Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

The warrant was issued by Beirut First Examining Magistrate Ghassan Oueidat after a lawsuit was filed by the lawyer Ashraf al-Moussawi and a number of other lawyers.

An indictment issued by Oueidat said Maalouf “published writings that stir sectarian sentiments and subject Lebanon to the threat of hostile acts.”

Maria Maalouf is a National Hero and this arrest warrant is testament to the filth and corruption of this police state.

An exact copy of Iran regime today, people protest they kill them with live ammunition same as the IDF against the Palestinians cause. Maria speaks freely then since she can't be assisinated like the LBC journalist then we sue her in absentia.
