عون: أنا مؤتمن على الدستور ولن أسمح بإجراء انتخابات وفقا للـ60

شدد رئيس الجمهورية ميشال عون على أنه لن يتراجع عن خطاب القسم الذي أكد فيه أنه سيعمل على إقرار قانون جديد للانتخابات النيابية، مجددا تأييده للنسبية المطلقة ورفضه للستين، داعيا القوى السياسية الى عدم المناورة وتضييع الوقت لانه لن يفيد.
وقال عون في حديث الى صحيفة "الاخبار" "ما ورد في خطاب القسم، إنما هو كلام تحت القسم، ومن يعتقد بأن بالإمكان التراجع عنه، يكون لا يعرف معنى أن الخطاب اسمه خطاب القسم".
وسأل عون "كيف يمكن أن يستمر المجلس النيابي قائماً لثماني سنوات، ولا يكون قادراً على إقرار قانون جديد للانتخابات؟".
وأضاف "كنت واضحاً وأكرّر، أنه لا داعي لمناورة المهل وغيرها، وكلنا يعلم أن هذه الأمور التقنية، بما فيها احتمال حصول تأجيل تقني، أمور قابلة للمعالجة في نص القانون الجديد".
عليه، دعا جميع القوى إلى "عدم تضييع الوقت، والذهاب نحو إعداد قانون جديد، يصحّح التمثيل الشعبي عند جميع اللبنانيين".
وتابع "أنا مع النسبية المطلقة، والكل يعلم أن هذا القانون سيجعلني وفريقي نخسر مقاعد لأكثر من كتلة نيابية أخرى، لكن عدالة التمثيل وصحته تفترضان تضحيات جدية من الذين يريدون مستقبلاً أفضل للبلاد، ومع ذلك، طرحوا أفكاراً حول قانون مختلط بين النسبية والأكثرية، وقلنا للجميع إننا مستعدون للبحث بما يسمح بإقرار قانون جديد وليس لتضييع الوقت".
وأكد عون أنه "لا مبرّر إطلاقاً لعدم إنجاز قانون جديد في أسرع وقت"، لافتا الى أنه "في حال اعتقد البعض بأن تضييع الوقت يلزمنا بإجراء الانتخابات وفق قانون الستين، فهذا البعض لا يعرفني، وكلامي واضح وحاسم، بأنني، ومن موقعي كرئيس للجمهورية مؤمتن على الدستور، لن أسمح بحصول ذلك".
يشار الى ان عون كان قد اعلن أنه إذا خير بين الفراغ والتمديد سيختار الفراغ.

You cannot use your constitutional powers to 'suspend' an existing election law that you yourself approved in 2008 and declared following your victorious return from Doha that it was a law that restored stolen Christian rights.
However, you can use your constitutional powers to not sign/approve a new law.

The Doha accord in its third article stated: " adopting the caza as an electoral constituency in conformity with the 1960 law, whereby the districts of Marjayoun-Hasbaya, Baalbek-Hermel and West Bekaa-Rashaya remain as a single electoral constituency each."
The 1960 law is an approved and existing law. Stop your hallucination flamethrower.

All this loser can do is not approve or sign on the cabinet/interior minister's request to call for the elections supervisory committee to meet which results in obstruction. He cannot suspend existing laws but he can veto new ones by virtue of not signing them.

Aoun will soon recognize that being president is in stark contrast to being the head of an appointed group of yes-men in his fpm or a platoon of soldiers in the military.. There is currently an existing election law, the 1960 law that was slightly modified in Doha, and absent an agreement on a new law, the 1960 law will remain constitutionally valid.
This talk of "they do not know me. My words are clear and decisive" are not very presidential.
