To be upfront i'm not lebanese and don't really lean or care about internal lebanese politics. I often read the news and enjoy the commentary from other sides.

I would just like to ask how Mustaqbal supporters can explain their leader living mostly outside of Lebanon and having his aids fly to him vs him flying home for meetings. Can anyone shed any light on this for me. I am still baffled by this as I don't think it happens anywhere else in the world that i have seen.

I now have come to the conclusion that our politicians, all of them in fact, regard us citizens just as numbers, consumer numbers. You want to eat, then buy what we import for you. You want to relax, then pay at the beach entrance. You want to drive your car, then go to the mechanique and pay. You are sick, then go to the pharmacy and buy medication. So, the food, a lot of it is expired, or manufactured using dubious ingredients, so are pharmaceuticals, and the beaches which are ours anyway are not allowed us, our bread too is phoney. Now we come to governance: we have some of the best brains around, we are in no short supply of patriotism or decency and professionalism, but again, we are made to understand that it's either this or nothing. So if we Lebanese decide to live, it will be with them around, if we decide to leave, they can replace us with millions of newcomers. Truly, pity this nation.

I believe Gagea announced his candidacy to know where Mustaqbal stands from him so he know where he stands alliances wise.
I think Gaegae will agree to a single M14 candidate by consensus, but will not stand for Mustaqbal making deals with Aoun.
I personally would rather see Gaegae, Gemayel, Aoun, Franjieh, and other Christians figure heads agree on one candidate (preferably Kattar or Baroud) and put their combined weights behind such candidate.

This man is a devoted public servant. He interrupted his ski vacation in Switzerland to fly home to Rihadh to meet this delegation.

Does anyone really think he left behind his company, his power, and whatever else to go live in Saudi for no reason??... Or that geagea is essentially on house arrest cause he likes chillin at home?

They're scared of something, and honestly I don't think it's Israel.

Saad deserves to come back to this country... And geagea, well, him, jumblatt, n aoun should just retire.
