PM: Serbia's 'Reconciliation' with Bosnia to Continue despite Incident

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic on Saturday affirmed his commitment to reconciliation with Bosnian Muslims after a stone-throwing mob chased him from a ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of the Srebrenica massacre.

"I regret that something like this has happened. I regret that some did not recognize our sincere intention to build a sincere friendship between Serbs and Bosniaks (Muslims)," Vucic told reporters upon his return to Belgrade. "My hand remains outstretched (to Bosnian Muslims) and I will continue with my policy of reconciliation" between the two Balkan nations, he said.

Bosnia Marks 20 Years since Srebrenica Massacre

Bosnia commemorates Saturday the 20th anniversary of the massacre of some 8,000 Muslim men and boys in the U.N.-protected enclave of Srebrenica, as debate continues to rage over its description as genocide.

The remains of 136 newly-identified victims will be laid to rest along with more than 6,000 others already buried at a memorial center just outside the eastern Bosnian town.

Switzerland to Extradite Bosnian Muslim War Crimes Suspect

Switzerland on Thursday authorized the extradition of former Bosnian Muslim commander Naser Oric to Bosnia rather than Serbia, which had issued the war crimes warrant for his arrest.

Oric, who led Muslim forces in Bosnia's east during its 1992-1995 civil war, was arrested on June 10 in Geneva, accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity against ethnic Serbs during the conflict.

Serbian PM Ready to Pay Respect to Srebrenica Victims

Serbia's premier Aleksandar Vucic, moving to improve ties with Bosnia, said Friday that he was ready to go to Srebrenica to honor the memory of 8,000 Bosnian Muslims killed by Bosnian Serbs two decades ago.

Slovenia Allows ex-Kosovo PM to Return Home

Kosovo Urges Slovenia to Allow ex-PM Return Home

Kosovo lawmakers voted a resolution Thursday demanding Slovenia unconditionally return a former Kosovo prime minister held there on an Interpol warrant issued by Serbia.

The resolution said Kosovo's government and president "urgently require the Slovenian authorities to immediately return (his) diplomatic passport and unconditionally allow the return" of Ramush Haradinaj to Kosovo.
