Anti-government protesters rallied Tuesday afternoon in central Beirut where some of them blocked some roads as others vandalized some facades and hurled stones at army troops.

Prime Minister Hassan Diab on Tuesday warned of “political exploitation” of the new wave of anti-government protests in Lebanon, saying there are “indications” of intentions to “shake security.”

The Cabinet on Tuesday approved four “instant measures” for combating corruption and recovering funds, the information minister said.
