Hezbollah boycotts cabinet session over Iran ambassador expulsion

Ministers from Hezbollah and its ally Amal boycotted a cabinet session on Thursday in protest over the government declaring the Iranian ambassador persona non grata.

The two Shia parties have a combined four ministers, with one independent Shia also represented in the cabinet present at the meeting, as the spat over the Iranian diplomat's expulsion escalated.

Israel says Hezbollah firing more than 100 rockets 'some days' towards Israel

Kuwait arrested six people linked to Lebanon's Iran-backed Hezbollah group who were planning "assassinations" in the Gulf state, the interior ministry said on Wednesday.

Israeli soldier killed in south Lebanon as Hezbollah claims more than 80 attacks

An Israeli soldier was killed in fighting in south Lebanon on Thursday, the military said, as Israeli troops advanced from the southern border town of Taybeh toward Qantara and Deir al-Seryan near the Litani river.
