"MasterLinxx" the 38th team to qualify for this year's MIT semi-finalist round

“MasterLinxx” has been selected as one of the semi-finalist teams for this year’s MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Start-Up Competition for the Ideas' Track.
MasterLinxx envisions itself as a pioneer company in business and technologies. It aims at simplifying and changing the way SMEs acquire, deploy and manage their supply-chain management platform. Masterlinxx provides supply-chain management software and consulting to small and medium businesses, focusing on Cloud Computing Software as a Service and virtualization technologies.
Inspiration
The idea of MasterLinxx can be described as a lifelong dream that ignited when the suitable people, circumstances and environment came together to provide a platform where problem-solvers and entrepreneurs could make a vision become a reality. It was during the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Dubai and after hearing countless success stories about how organizations were helping to promote start-ups.
An industrial Engineer’s passion for simplifying complex problems for businesses aligned with an entrepreneur’s relentless desire to help businesses succeed through creating opportunity and innovation. That is when Ziad Salameh and Lisa Reyna got inspired to take the first step.
MasterLinxx were accepted by the Microsoft BizSpark Plus Program as the top ten-high potential start-ups serving businesses on the cloud, that they could understand the positive impact that the company could bring both socially and economically to MENA.
Project briefing
MasterLinxx is a revolutionary cloud-based online supply chain management solution for small to medium-sized businesses using Software as a Service and Virtualization technologies. The company provides an affordable monthly subscription utility-based model solution designed to significantly reduce technology infrastructure investments, in addition to providing global mobility, real-time dashboard reporting, a global community of buyers and suppliers as well as a learning and training module that will enhance each users productivity and experience through their own Virtual Work Environment.
The MasterLinxx online chain integrates six modules that include: purchasing, expediting, logistics, warehousing and inventory management with budgets control.
Advice for entrepreneurs
Ziad and Lisa recognize the MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competition as one of the top programs to help entrepreneurs to move from idea generation to a viable business “and we at MasterLinxx envision being one of these success stories” says the team.
Their advice for aspiring entrepreneurs was the following: “seek out the right mentors, surround yourself with like-minded people who inspire you to act on your idea and take the calculated-risk rather than doubt and have fear of failure”.
MasterLinxx team also emphasized about the alignment of values and believes among the same team which strengthens the mission and the vision of the company.
