2 Soldiers Killed, Civilian Injured in Separate Traffic Accidents

Two Lebanese soldiers were killed at dawn Friday in a car crash in the eastern Bekaa valley while another man sustained injuries in an accident on the Beirut airport road.

The victims were identified as Elias Nakhle, 19, from the West Bekaa town of Aana and 18-year-old Charbel Abou Aanneh from Dakweh-Aamiq village.

The National News Agency said they were in a white Honda heading to Beirut when they hit a tree at the square of the Bekaa town of Chtaura.

Both teens were immediately killed, the agency added.

In another accident, Hassan Khairallah Qataya was taken to Rafik Hariri University Hospital after he sustained injuries following a crash between the van he was driving and a Kia.

The driver of the Kia escaped after the accident, NNA said.
