Qaida Calls on Muslims to Storm U.S. Embassies, Kill Envoys

Al-Qaida's franchise in North Africa on Tuesday urged Muslims to storm U.S. embassies and kill American envoys in Muslim countries in protest over a film insulting Islam, a monitoring group said.
"We call on Islam's youths to take after the lions of Benghazi (in Libya) by pulling down America's flags that are flying over all of its embassies in our capitals," said al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb, according to IntelCenter.
AQIM urged people "to burn them (the flags), to stomp them underfoot, and to kill its (U.S.) ambassadors and representatives or expel them and purge our land of their filth in revenge for the honor of the best of mankind," referring to Islam's Prophet Mohammed.
The jihadist group's written statement was dated September 15, IntelCenter said, a few days after protests began in Muslim countries over a U.S.-produced film deemed insulting to Islam and its prophet.
Attacks in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Mauritania specifically were urged, particularly the cities of Casablanca, Algiers, Tunis and Nouakchott.
The statement evoked last week's attack on the American consulate in Benghazi that killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, and three other Americans.
Suspected Islamic militants fired on the consulate with rocket-propelled grenades and set it ablaze on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 al-Qaida terror attacks on the United States.
A senior U.S. official said that extremists appeared to have used the demonstration against the film as a "pretext" to attack American interests on the anniversary.

Although we all know how to distinguish between Al Qaeda and its likes and between the other Muslims, it is the imperative for the rest of the Muslims to come forcefully against these extremists and their claims.
The world can lose its patience with the alleged Islamic solidarity if it does not include taking responsibility for the bad actions that some Muslims do take in the name of Islam.

the issue here is wiyh the practice of islam and extremist propaganda... islam and its leadership need to enforce reforms on what is being preached nowadays and what values are being instilled in the minds of muslim youths... the current geopolitical situation is fertile grounds for relegious extremism of all sorts...as lebanese we must stand united together and correct the ills thay have inflicted our society... violence and agressive dialect are certainly not the way forward... it is unfortunate that a few misguided brainwashed agrressive thugs can paint islam with such a negative light... the majority of people in lebanon want peace and prosperity, however recent event are showing that there is an underprivilaged uneducated class in lebanon that needs to be tended to positively and productively before it s too late...

Many organizations exist around the world that are against these fanatics; they meet, they have global conferences, they use the media to publish and civilly discuss how to fight and defeat radicalization but again (unfortunately) and we Lebanese should know that better than anyone that GUNS ARE MUCH LOUDER THEN WORDS AND LOGIC...

because we live in a country where our leaders strive on the peoples differences... while were busy fighting amongst each other they r busy dividing the pie... and let me tell u the pie is getting smaller... it s to us like minded lebanese to make rhis step no public figure has the will or the balls to make such a move....
