Will Eisenkot withdraw Israeli army from south Lebanon?
Eyes are turning toward Tel Aviv after Gadi Eisenkot was tasked with forming a new Israeli government.
In this context, a report by the Israeli radio station Kol Chai said that "Eisenkot is planning to withdraw from Lebanon even before he succeeds in forming the government, as he has begun conducting negotiations and arrangements planning for what is known as the 'day after' on the northern front."
The report noted that Eisenkot is negotiating with foreign parties regarding an Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon.
"Even before Eisenkot forms a government, he is planning for what happens next. Perhaps this is why the Arab parties are supporting him from the outside, because they realize what Eisenkot will offer them in all areas. If a withdrawal from Lebanon occurs, it is merely a prelude to what will happen later, such as the withdrawal from Gaza and Syria, and the systematic, deliberate destruction of outposts in the West Bank," the radio network added.
