US told Israel that Hezbollah did not commit any violation

The United States conveyed a message to Israel stating that Hezbollah did not violate the ceasefire agreement, urging it to refrain from retaliation, in the wake of the deadly blast that killed two Israeli soldiers in Majdal Zoun, an Israeli security official told Israel’s public broadcaster.

The source added that Washington asked Israel to avoid escalation, fearing it would negatively impact the Rome negotiations, noting that Israel's assessment was that the explosive device had been planted before the ceasefire.

Israel had blamed the deadly incident on Hezbollah and retaliated by limited attacks on south Lebanon that killed one person and wounded more than 10 others.
