Aoun 'dismayed' as US backs down on ceasefire promise, report says

President Joseph Aoun is dismayed about the U.S. backing down on their promise to pressure Israel into a ceasefire, al-Binaa newspaper said Thursday.

The daily reported that Aoun told U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa that the Israeli violations are "embarrassing" to him before the Lebanese people and that a real truce and withdrawal are needed in order for negotiations to resume smoothly.

Issa promised Aoun to make every effort with the U.S. administration to convince Israel to consolidate the truce, the daily said, adding that Issa has since not returned with a response amid Israeli intransigence and American complicity in continuing negotiations under fire, and conditioning the Israeli withdrawal from south Lebanon on Hezbollah's disarmament.

This guy is turning out to be totally useless, how about you do your job first, disarm the Iranian party hizballah and I’m certain without a question Israel will withdraw, but do your job first, you are a disappointment! What a shame, you had the opportunity of the century and you are letting it slip right through, you are a coward!
