Abbas to visit Italy in November
Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas will visit Rome next month to discuss the Gaza peace plan among other subjects, Italy's foreign minister said Thursday.
"On November 7, we will gather in Rome for President Abbas' visit to continue the dialogue and work together to strengthen the Palestinian National Authority," Antonio Tajani told parliament.
A spokesman for the foreign ministry said that among the discussions would be U.S. President Donald Trump's peace plan to end the Hamas-Israel war, which Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's hard-right government supports.
