Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat described on Saturday his meeting with Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani as “friendly and positive,” reported the daily An Nahar on Saturday.

He told the daily: “The talks focused on the ongoing developments in the Arab world and Qatar’s role in supporting youth movements striving for freedom and democracy.”

He also voiced his gratitude for the Gulf state’s role in supporting Lebanon and its efforts to avert strife in the country in 2008.

The MP made his last statement in reference to the Doha accord that helped end Hizbullah’s takeover of Beirut, which sparked armed clashes with rival political forces and threatened to plunge Lebanon into a new civil war.

Jumblat traveled to Qatar on Wednesday.

He held talks in Doha on Thursday with Sheikh Hamad on the latest developments in the region.

He told the Doha-based satellite broadcaster Al-Jazeera that “violence will only breed violence in Syria,” reiterating his warning that the revolt-hit country might descend into a “civil war.”

The MP urged Damascus’ key allies Iran and Russia to “launch an initiative to rescue the country from violence and civil war.”

“I’m concerned with Syria and not the regime,” added the PSP leader.

This low life feudal warlord talks about people's role in achieving what? Democracy? From the moth of the feudal warlord who got away with murders? Give me a friggin break! In a country that respects its people, Jumblat would have been a headless rotten skeleton by now, and the same applies to the other stupid criminal Geagea and his band of criminals and hoodlums. But this is Lebanon and this is what the stupid Lebanese people deserve: filth and more filth like this filthy feudal warlord.

democracy by butt. Which democracy is that? You mean the new dictatoship through the muslim brotherhood and salafis?

Yes I would much rather take Bashah Assad over the guys who see me as an infidel. And actually no one from Hizballah ever bothered me either.
