Internal Security Forces chief Maj. Gen. Ashraf Rifi was chosen as “Man of the Year 2011″ in a ceremony held in Dubai on Tuesday.

Rifi was awarded a Gold Medal in the field of security leadership excellence at the event organized by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development of the Arab League and the Academy of Excellence and Quality.

Arab protection against Iranian character assassination.

Watch the Iranian propagandists come and insult Rifi. (Yes this includes the Oranginas who are on the Iranian payroll)

Naharnet, it would be nice to know why he was awarded that.

I totally agree with "Sweating_Demon" on the 3 remarks. One might ask how much did "Twitter-Man" pay to get this award given to his cherished & loyal ISF chief?
I just wonder what would be the reaction of March 14th team if Hassan Nasrallah was given an award in Iran?
Strange times we're living in...and wonder whether Lebanon will ever be governed by people who eally think of the country's inetersts and that of their people before their own. Not sure...

Sunni crazies promoting Sunni crazies who promote the cause of the crazy ahl al sunna! No worries. As Dr. Tojlita's called them when they invaded Achrafieh: hol mennena!

@sweaty
1- Because it is not a Lebanese award ya zaki! It is organized by the
Arab Organization for Administrative Development for the Arab League and the Tatweej Academy for Excellence and Quality!
2- Yeah...well...they don't think so!
3- "Rifi’s security achievements this year includes the arrest of over a dozen networks of individuals who were charged with collaborating with Israel.

The ISF also succeeded in arresting nine suspects in the case of the abduction of seven Estonian nationals who were later released in July, including the alleged mastermind of the operation. The arrest received international praise."

This is an award for someone who did good in the world. Nassy will never receive it.

we will surely not honor disgraced traitors following the syrian regime and the iranian regime!
our regional status as per Taef accord: we are Arab. we are not farsi!
if it is so tough for some of you to get it, then you really do have a problem, but note that lebanon is and will remain an Arab country and will never have anything to do with iran as much as some traitors try to force this idea on us.

prefer he gets this title than rather than hassoun who gets brainwashed by Khomeni in believing he is a demigod

Hahaha, I knew the Persian Propagandists would make their appearance here today.

The reason the Persian Propagandists have attacked Rifi is because he will uphold the law and not obey orders from Iran, Syria or Hezbollah. He has overseen the arrests of dozens of spies, including many from Hezbollah and the famous one from FPM.

He has cooperated with the STL, and that is the biggest beef they have against him. They will claim it's about Ogero, but it's really about the STL murders that they want to get away with. Don't be fooled.

He will not bow down to the criminals who are seeking leniency for land violations, kidnappings, and STL murders.

@sweaty
hahahahahaha...
Ok, so:
Nobel Prize should be given in the country of the winner... right...?
As well as the palme d'or at cannes... which should be given...not in cannes but in the winner's country...?
Basically all awards should be distributed on the land of the awardee...hmmm...CLEVER!

hahahaha....get a life sweat thing!

@sweating_deamon I fail to see any point you're trying to convey apart from opposing anything this website says. Rifi won this award for showing true nationalism by not succumbing to the fear of persecution by anyone he offends. Me personally, as a lebanese citizen, am proud that a man from the civil service was honoured. It doesn't matter who gave the award to him or in what country the award was presented, all that matters it that the legitimate protectors of the country are accomplishing what they there for. It's time to give up defending immoral ideologies that serve the purpose of protecting and furthering the foreign policy of neighbouring countries and focus on fixing lebanon's political structure, getting rid of the corruption (ON BOTH SIDES) and once that is ensured, only then can we start attaining our socio-economic goals. The next time anyone feels like playing the blame game, blame those who follow corrupt politician blindly, not those who r working LEGITIMATELY for leb.
