Nine people, including three children, were killed Monday in rebel fire on a government-held neighborhood in Syria's northern city of Aleppo, Syria's state news agency SANA said.
It said they were killed in Hay al-Seryan, in government-controlled west Aleppo, but gave no further details.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based monitor, also reported nine deaths, but said that 4 children had been killed.
It said another 20 people were wounded.
Once Syria's industrial powerhouse, Aleppo has been divided between government control in the west of the city and opposition control in the east since shortly after fighting began there in mid-2012.
Government forces regularly carry out air strikes on rebel-held neighborhoods.
More than 210,000 people have been killed in Syria's conflict, which began with peaceful demonstrations in 2011, but devolved into civil war after a government crackdown on protesters.

Attacks in civilian areas should be condemned no matter what! It should be condemned in this case. It should be condemned the countless times when Assad forces slaughtered tens of thousands of civilians with the undescriminate use of artillery, barrel bombings and chemical weapons.
Yet I have not seen you once condemning the slaughter exacted by this regime or wavered in your defence of this monster. And now you appeal to the base sectarian instinct of people!!!
