سليمان بدأ التحضير لخطاب المغادرة: من يفكر في تعطيل النصاب مخطئ

أعلن رئيس الجمهورية ميشال سليمان أنه حضّر خطابه لمناسبة مغادرة قصر الرئاسة، مشيرا إلى أن تعطيل نصاب انتخاب رئيس جديد "عمل غير ديمقراطي".
وقال سليمان في حديث إلى مجلة الأمن العام نشرته الوكالة "الوطنية للإعلام" الثلاثاء "فرحي العظيم ان تبقى الرئاسة الاولى قبلة المؤسسات".
وأشار الى "اهمية الديموقراطية وتداول السلطة والمناقشة والحوار والتصويت"، وقال ان "من يفكر في تعطيل النصاب مخطئ لانه يعني تعطيل التصويت، وهو عمل غير ديموقراطي".
وأضاف: "ان رئاسة الجمهورية لم تبدأ معي، ولن تنتهي مع انتهاء الولاية الدستورية"، داعيا الى "تحصين الوحدة الوطنية التي هي أغلى ما لدينا".
كما دعا إلى "تطبيق القوانين والدستور وتحديدا اتفاق الطائف الذي حمى الجميع". وتوقع أن "يقبل لبنان على فترة جيدة، وزوال العاصفة عن سوريا".
وكشف ان طموحه "يتمثل في القاء خطاب المغادرة في قصر بعبدا، وقد اعطيت التعليمات لتحضيره، وان اسلم رئيسا منتخبا بشكل طبيعي".
وعن الموضوع الحكومة شدد رئيس الجمهورية على السعي "الى حكومة توافقية، لكن اذا لم يتح ذلك لسبب او لآخر فلا يمكن ابقاء البلد بلا حكومة" سائلا "هل يستطيع رئيس الجمهورية الذي يطالب بتعديل صلاحياته التخلي عن صلاحية موجودة في الدستور، ولا يوقع مرسوم تأليف الحكومة؟".
واضاف: "لدينا دستور ديموقراطي ميثاقي اتفقنا عليه، والمهم ان نحسن ممارسة التطبيق".
يشار الى أن ولاية سليمان تنتهي في أيار 2014، وحتى الآن لم يتضح مصير الرئاسة الأولى، خاصة في ظل رفض سليمان التمديد له.
ويخشى جميع الأفرقاء الفراغ في الرئاسة الأولى بعد فراغ حكومي ونيابي، رغم أنهم يشددون في الوقت عينه على ضرورة إجراء الإنتخابات الرئاسية. في السياق عينه يعبّر رئيس تكتل "التغيير والإصلاح" النائب ميشال عون عن خشيته من أن تكون المداورة المتفق عليها لتشكيل الحكومة هدفها إطالة عمر الحكومة وتطيير انتخابات الرئاسة.

Everything Hezbollah has done to block all elections (parliamentary, presidential) and formation of government is undemocratic.
In fact, they are funded, mentored and allied with 2 of the worst democracies in the world. Syria and Iran.
Their ideas of elections is cheating. Their supporters around here also show their great democratic values by creating so many fake accounts and vote themselves up...
And they dare mention the constitution and democracy ... they are the biggest opponents to a democratic Lebanon free from Syrian and Iranian tyranny !

Suleiman was chosen by the people ! By a democratically elected parliament with a majority of M14 representatives of the people's wishes. A democracy that you highjacked and failed to accept...
You don't understand the first thing about democracy and refuse to play the game when you lose ! You take it to the streets when your not happy. You shut down parliament, you block the government, you burn tires and put the country on hold !
If you want to play the democratic game, then accept defeat ! Otherwise, go ahead and take over the country by force, the only way you know how.

Unless the president is elected directly by the people, the only form of popular support he will enjoy is though the people's representatives : Parliament ! so yes, he does enjoy indirect popular support !
I'm all with you ! I think the president should be elected by the people. But only when you abolish the sectarian mindsets in Lebanon and all political parties based on sects.
My conclusion is that Lebanese do not deserve democracy. We need a good old dictator to run this country and eliminate the Hezbollas and Assirs and Christian extremists...

@FT : many "good" things happened under his "rule" of Lebanon. None of which is attributable to him. He's a Syrian agent who did everything possible for Syrian influence to survive their "retreat" from Lebanon.
