الجيش ينتشر في شارع سوريا وسط هدوء على محاور القتال بطرابلس

انتشرت وحدات من الجيش اللبناني، صباح الثلاثاء، في شارع سوريا، الفاصل بين محوري القتال في طرابلس، باب التبانة وجبل محسن.
وأفادت "الوكالة الوطنية للاعلام"، أن الجيش يسير دوريات في شارع سوريا ويقيم الحواجز.
ولفتت الى أن ليل الاثنين-الثلاثاء، كان هادئاً نسبياً حيث أن الاشتباكات بين محوري القتال توقفت قرابة منتصف الليل بعد اتصالات مكثفة جرت مع المعنيين لتأمين دخول الجيش الى شارع سوريا.
يُذكر أن الجيش تعرض لاطلاق نار، ظهر الاثنين، خلال دخوله الى باب التبانة، تنفيذاً للخطة الامنية في طرابلس، وبعد ان استكمل انتشاره في جبل محسن، وأدى اطلاق النار الى سقوط جريحين على الاقل من الجيش.
واندلعت المواجهات مساء الاثنين (في 21 الجاري) تزامنا مع بث قناة "الميادين" مقابلة مع الرئيس السوري بشار الاسد، فاقدم اشخاص من جبل محسن على اطلاق النار ابتهاجا، وطال الرصاص باب التبانة ما دفع مسلحين فيها الى الرد.
وغالباً ما تندلع الاشتباكات وعمليات القنص بين جبل محسن، ذات الغالبية العلوية المؤيدة للنظام السوري، وباب التبانة، ذات الغالبية السنية المؤيدة لحركة الاحتجاج السورية، ما يؤدي الى سقوط قتلى وجرحى فضلاً عن الاضرار المادية.

The army and security forces need to set up shop in Tripoli for weeks if not months to completely settle the situation.
Going in to Tripoli for days or even a week or two will not solve the problem. This has been proven time after time.

Well i must disappoint you, I don't think there will ever be peace in Tripoli. No matter how many times the Army puts a shakedown on Tabbaneh & Jabal Mohsen. The next day the neighbourhoods fight each other all over again.

Indeed there is blame to go around ... the Mosque bombings in Tripoli prove that ... Those perpetrators should also be "brought to book".
The need is to stop all patrons and perpetrators on both sides of the violence. However it is clear that it is al Mustaqbal and the LF in service to KSA Fatwas that are the biggest treats.

The army needs to do more than deploy. Checkpoints, arrests. The political officials of Tripoli should let the army in like the political officials in the Dahyi did.
