ISF Denies Hand Grenades Located in Tripoli Targeting Miqati

Internal Security Forces general directorate denied on Tuesday reports that two grenades found in the northern city of Tripoli were targeting Prime Minister Najib Miqati or any other official.

“The two hand grenades were tossed away from the road and we presume that whoever put them wanted to get rid of them,” the statement said.

Syria Returns 3 More Slain Islamists as Families Claim Several Missing

Syrian authorities handed over Lebanon on Saturday three more bodies of Salafists killed in an ambush by regime troops in Tall Kalakh last month, in the third and last round of transfer of corpses from Syria.

The bodies of Malek al-Hajj Deeb, Abdul Hakim Ibrahim, and Hussein Srour were transferred from Syria through the Arida border crossing in northern Lebanon.

A man and a woman were found killed in a car repair shop in the northern city of Tripoli, reported the National News Agency on Friday.

Security forces contained an incident during which several men assaulted a Palestinian and forced him to walk naked in a street in the northern city of Tripoli, Voice of Lebanon radio (93.3) reported on Sunday.

It said several men from Bab al-Tabbaneh neighborhood tortured Ahmed al-Mdallali, a Palestinian, and then forced him to walk naked in the street for allegedly working with the Arab Democratic Party.
