IS Executes at least 37 Civilians in Central Syria

The Islamic State jihadist group Tuesday executed at least 37 civilians, including two children, in a raid on a regime-held village in Hama province of central Syria, a monitor said.

IS "executed at least 37 people, including women and children, by burning, beheading, and firing on them" in the village of Mabujeh, said Rami Abdel Rahman, director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Jerusalem Palestinian Charged with Trying to Join IS

Israeli prosecutors Monday charged a Palestinian resident of east Jerusalem with allegedly trying to join the Islamic State jihadist group in Syria, the Shin Bet domestic security agency said.

Khalil Adel Khalil, born in 1990 and a resident of A-Tur neighborhood, had been inspired by IS videos and in August resolved to join it in Syria, a Shin Bet statement said.

Samaha Case to Be Separated from Mamlouk's

State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr approved the separation of the case of former Minister Michel Samaha from that of Syrian security official Ali al-Mamlouk, reported the National News Agency on Monday.
