Juan Pablo Montoya turned his first laps in an Indy car in 13 years during his first test with new team Penske Racing on Monday.

The test at Sebring International Raceway was Montoya's first opportunity to get in his new car. He last drove in IndyCar in 2000, the year he won the Indianapolis 500 driving for Chip Ganassi.

Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose is out for the season.

The team said Monday that Rose had successful surgery to repair a torn medial meniscus in his right knee.

Real Madrid announced that Cristiano Ronaldo has a left hamstring injury.

Formula One teams and Pirelli are left scrambling to find a solution to test the new 2014 tires after rain scrapped their plans at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Pirelli brought the prototype tires to Brazil this weekend but teams were not able to test them because it rained during both practice sessions at Interlagos on Friday.

Ross Brawn is confident Mercedes will make a run for the Formula One title next year even though he still expects Red Bull to remain strong.
