Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says captain Vincent Kompany will miss the English Premier League game against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday with a calf problem that could also rule him out of Belgium's Euro 2016 qualifier against Wales this month.

Van Gaal says "he saw a specialist yesterday evening who said the conservative way to heal it is best" and that "it can be less than six weeks. If he needed an operation, 12 weeks."

A Rio de Janeiro judge has rejected charges of drug trafficking against former Brazil striker Adriano.
Prosecutors had charged the striker with connection with drug trafficking because he allegedly bought a motorcycle and gave it as a gift to a known drug dealer in the shantytown where he grew up. But the judge said in a decision announced Thursday that there was not enough evidence to uphold the accusations.
