March 14 Rejects Turning Parliament into Anti-STL Platform

The March 14-led opposition rejected turning the parliament and constitutional institutions into platforms from which Hizbullah launches campaigns against the international tribunal, the coalition’s sources said.

The sources told An Nahar daily published Friday that Hizbullah was using the state institutions to defend the four suspects that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon indicted in ex-Premier Rafik Hariri’s Feb. 2005 assassination.

Fadlallah: We Cannot Depend on Telecom Data Alone in Hariri Case

Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah slammed on Thursday the indictment in the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, saying that depending on telecommunications data alone as evidence is not enough in a case as sensitive as the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

He said during a press conference on the indictment’s telecommunications data: “The tribunal, its decisions, and the investigation have created a dangerous divide in Lebanon.”

Report: March 14 Statement Inspired by Meeting of Top Officials on Tuesday

March 14 leaders discussed the indictment issued by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon and Hizbullah’s stance from it during talks they held on Tuesday night, al-Liwaa daily reported.

The newspaper said Thursday that the meeting was held between Phalange party leader Amin Gemayel, former Premier Fouad Saniora and Lebanese Forces chief Samir Geagea.

March 14 Lawyers to Consider Protection of 4 Hariri Murder Suspects a Crime

March 14-led opposition lawyers are expected to hold a press conference next week to snap back at Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammed Raad, An Nahar daily reported Thursday.

Mirza Will Submit to STL Three Relevant Files to Hariri Murder

General Prosecutor Saeed Mirza will submit to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon the relevant files of the attacks against former ministers Marwan Hamadeh and Elias al-Murr and the assassination of ex-Lebanese Communist Party leader Georges Hawi.

Raad: STL Indictment is Fake, Resistance Will Defend Itself Appropriately

The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammed Raad slammed on Tuesday the indictment in the Special Tribunal for Lebanon as “fake”, accusing the investigation of being politicized in order to target the Resistance.

Interior Minister Marwan Charbel stated on Monday that the TIME Magazine interview with one of the suspects in the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri targets Hizbullah.

Saniora Hints Nasrallah Protecting 4 Hariri Murder Suspects

Al-Mustaqbal parliamentary bloc leader Fouad Saniora has hinted that Hizbullah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was protecting the four suspects in ex-Premier Rafik Hariri’s assassination.

Saniora said Sunday that he was linking the TIME magazine interview with one of the suspects to the statement of Nasrallah that “these individuals are not expected to turn themselves even in 300 years.”
