The March 14 opposition decided on Tuesday to boycott the parliamentary session that Speaker Nabih Berri called for on November 27 to hear a speech by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
“We will not attend the two legislative session that Berri called for to welcome the Armenian president and to show solidarity with the Palestinian people” against the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, high-ranking sources in the opposition said in comments published in An Nahar newspaper.

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat's initiative to end the political deadlock in Lebanon between the rival March 8 and 14 camps is being coordinated with President Michel Suleiman, reported As Safir newspaper on Tuesday.

Hizbullah Leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah criticized on Monday Arab countries that “are sending weaponry to Syria but have not aided Gaza with one bullet”, attacking Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem al-Thani's “sheep” comments.

A spat broke out on Monday between residents from the Shouf town of Baqaata and a security convoy belonging to Hizbullah, media reports said, as another unconfirmed report said the clash erupted after the discovery of a Hizbullah telecom network in the area.
“A convoy comprising three cars with tinted windows and carrying gunmen made its way from Niha towards Shouf's towns, but it raised suspicions as it passed through the town of Mristi, prompting a young man from the town to intercept the convoy and inquire about its destination,” LBCI television reported.

The Phalange party warned on Monday against the consequences of the government's “failures on various levels”, calling for the formation of a salvation cabinet.

The Army Command announced on Monday that it discovered two rockets, which were set up to be fired against Israel, in southern Lebanon.
It said in a statement that an army patrol discovered the two 107mm Grad rockets between the towns of Halta and al-Mari in the Hasbaya district.

The Special Tribunal for Lebanon issued a public redacted version of the Prosecution’s Pre-Trial Brief, which is now available on the STL website, it announced in a statement on Monday.
According to the Brief, the Prosecution intends to call 557 witnesses and there are 13,170 exhibits on the exhibit list, and the total time estimated for presentation of the Prosecution’s case is 457.5 hours.
