Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah slammed on Sunday “some sides' boycott of the national dialogue,” rejecting any preconditions being placed on the all-party talks.
He said in an indirect reference to the March 14-led opposition: “Some sides are approaching the dialogue in a condescending manner and we will adopt a similar approach to whoever adopts this attitude.”

Energy Minister Jebran Bassil announced on Saturday that the arrival of the power-generating ships to Lebanon from Turkey has been delayed, reported the daily An Nahar on Sunday.
He explained that the government has failed to provide the cost of acquiring the ships.

Lawmakers from the Mustaqbal bloc and March 14-led opposition will attend the luncheon banquet thrown by Speaker Nabih Berri in honor of Armenian President Serzh Sargysyan on Tuesday, reported the daily An Nahar on Sunday.
It added that Mustaqbal bloc head MP Fouad Saniora will not be able to attend the banquet because he will be traveling.

A delegation from MP Walid Jumblat's Progressive Socialist Party held talks on Sunday with Prime Minister Najib Miqati as part of the lawmaker's ongoing efforts to reach an initiative to end Lebanon's current political crisis.

Presidents Michel Suleiman is “very upset” with Iran's behavior in and positions towards Lebanon, reported the daily al-Mustaqbal on Sunday.

Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Saturday confirmed that five Syrians were arrested in Nabatiyeh with "arms" in their possession, but denied reports claiming that the group was preparing an explosive device to detonate it at a Ashoura procession.
“Five Syrians have been detained possessing arms but we already know that many Syrians arrive in Lebanon to buy weapons,” Nasrallah said in a speech on the ninth day of Ashoura.

President Michel Suleiman reiterated on Saturday calls for Lebanese foes to attend the all-party talks, urging officials not to favor any side in the Syrian conflict.
“Everyone should attend the national dialogue and officials shouldn't favor neither the Syrian regime nor the opposition,” Suleiman said after granting Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara al-Rahi the National Order of the Cedar medal, Lebanon's highest honor.

The Army command confirmed on Saturday reports that the military arrested five Syrians in the southern town of Nabatiyeh after seizing explosives and ammunition from them.
“As part of security measures taken by military units throughout Lebanese territories and after receiving information about some people carrying out a suspicious security activity in a housing area in the city of Nabatiyeh, a patrol raided the area and arrested” the five Syrians, the army command said in a communique.
