Nasrallah Rejects Placing Preconditions on Dialogue: We Have No Enemies in Lebanon

Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah slammed on Sunday “some sides' boycott of the national dialogue,” rejecting any preconditions being placed on the all-party talks.

He said in an indirect reference to the March 14-led opposition: “Some sides are approaching the dialogue in a condescending manner and we will adopt a similar approach to whoever adopts this attitude.”

Iran Sent Military Aid to Hamas

Iran has supplied military aid to the Islamist group Hamas in Gaza locked in a conflict with Israel during which it has fired missiles at Tel Aviv for the first time, the parliament speaker said Wednesday.

"We are proud to defend the people of Palestine and Hamas ... and that our assistance to them has been both financial and military," Ali Larijani said without elaborating, in remarks reported by parliament's website, ICANA.ir.

Multiple rounds of international sanctions are failing to have any effect on Iran's controversial nuclear program, the head of the U.N. atomic agency said on Tuesday.

Israel Must Be Tried for 'War Crimes' over Gaza, Says Iran

Israel is solely responsible for the conflict in Gaza and should be tried for "war crimes," Iran said on Tuesday while stressing that the Palestinians must be "armed to defend" themselves.

Iran Starts Building Gas Pipeline to Syria

An Iranian semi-official news agency says the country has started building a $10 billion natural gas pipeline to Syria as part of efforts to boost its energy sector that has been battered by international sanctions.

Monday's report by the Fars news agency says the 1,500 kilometer (750 mile) pipeline will pass through Iraq before reaching Syria. It says Iran begun construction of the first phase of the project involving a 225 kilometer (140 mile) stretch at an estimated cost of $3 billion.

Iran Warns of 'Terror Risk' in Attempt to Arm Syrian Rebels

Iran on Sunday warned against sending weapons to Syrian rebels battling its ally in Damascus, saying that this would threaten regional stability and increase the "risk of terrorism."

"Some countries envisage arming the opposition with heavy and semi-heavy weaponry," Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said in a speech to open an inter-Syria dialogue in Tehran.

Interpol to Make New Push for Bulgaria Bus Bomber

Interpol said Friday it will make a new push to help Bulgaria identify the bomber who killed six people, including five Israeli tourists, at Burgas airport in July.

"Interpol plans on re-issuing the image (of the suspect), reminding people, asking people, hoping that maybe we will catch someone who is watching TV or on the Internet, who recognizes the person and can help give leads to identifying him and locating him," said the chief of the global policing body, Ronald Noble.

World Powers to Confer on Iran Next Week

Top negotiators from six world powers will meet in Brussels next week to discuss diplomatic efforts to defuse the Iran nuclear crisis, EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton's office said Thursday.

The meeting to be hosted by Ashton on Wednesday will be the first on the sensitive issue since the U.S. election that saw President Barack Obama returned to office and comes ahead of an expected new round of talks with Iran by early 2013 at the latest.
