'Al-Nusra Front in Lebanon' Says All Hizbullah Areas are 'Legitimate Targets'

A group suspected of links to al-Qaida warned Friday that all areas of Lebanon where Hizbullah operates are "legitimate targets" for attack, urging Sunnis to avoid them.

"We, al-Nusra Front in Lebanon, announce that Iran's party (Hizbullah) and all its bases and... bastions are legitimate targets for us, wherever they are," the group said in a statement posted on the Internet.

Mansour from Geneva: Terrorism, not Hizbullah, Cause of Syria's Turmoil

Caretaker Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour stressed on Wednesday that Hizbullah's interference in Syria is not the problem, pointing out that the region's upheaval is cause by the presence of terrorist ideologies.

"Those claiming that what is happening in Syria is a result of Hizbullah's involvement in the war want to divert attention from the fact that there are foreign terrorist groups in the region,” Mansour said during his participation at the Syria peace talks in Switzerland's Geneva.

Army: Shelling Targeting Bekaa Regions from East Arsal

East Arsal was the area that targeted several Bekaa regions with rockets, the Lebanese Army Command said in a communique issued on Saturday.

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea described on Saturday remarks by ex-Prime Minister Saad Hariri regarding the cabinet formation process as a “good will gesture,” stressing that his party will not participate in any cabinet that doesn't include “the slightest political change.”

“Hariri's statements are considered a good will gesture and not an agreement on including the army, people, resistance formula in the new cabinet's ministerial statement,” Geagea said in a press conference in Maarab.
