Iran's Supreme Leader Accuses Israel of Gaza 'Genocide'

Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Tuesday accused Israel of committing "genocide" in Gaza and called on the Islamic world to arm Palestinians fighting "the Zionist regime".

In a speech marking the Muslim festival of Eid al-Fitr, Khamenei said Israel was acting like a "rabid dog" and "a wild wolf" in acts that are causing a human catastrophe and which must be resisted.

Sheikh Qabalan Calls for Lessening Lebanon's Woes

45,000 Rally for Gaza at Jerusalem Eid Prayers

Tens of thousands of Palestinians rallied in support of war-torn Gaza on Monday as they gathered to pray at Jerusalem's Al Aqsa mosque at the start of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr. 

Police put the number of worshipers at 45,000 people, with an Agence France Presse correspondent saying many were dressed in black t-shirts emblazoned with slogans reading "Gaza, supporting you is our Eid" and "We are all Gaza."

Qabbani Calls for Election of President, Parliament after Deal on Fair Law

Grand Mufti Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Qabbani called on Monday for the election of a president and for holding parliamentary polls after agreeing on an electoral law that represents all sides.
