France to Block Further Demos against Anti-Islam Film

France's interior minister said Sunday he will prevent any further anti-U.S. demonstrations sparked by an anti-Islam film that has triggered sometimes deadly protests across the globe.

Six Die as Migrant Ship Capsizes in Indian Ocean

Six people died and 27 others were missing after a ship carrying illegal immigrants capsized in the Indian Ocean off the French overseas territory of Mayotte, local officials said Saturday.

Of the 36 people who boarded the boat on the Comoran island of Anjouan Friday evening, one survivor was taken in by rescue services while two others escaped.

Shown separately in the video uploaded to the Mauritanian news website Sahara Medias, Pierre Legrand, Daniel Larribe, Thierry Dole and Marc Feret, who were abducted in Niger in September 2010.
