Madonna turned up for jury duty Monday at a state courthouse in New York City. But she didn't have to stay flor long.

The pop superstar had gotten excused from a jury service date in May. This time, she was finished within two hours and wasn't questioned for any case, spending the wait in a clerk's office instead of in the sprawling juror waiting room.

Biopics are very tricky to pull off. Their subjects are more than often larger-than-life personalities who’ve changed the course of history one way or the other, making it nearly impossible to condense their entire story for a two-hour flick. While Yves Saint Laurent definitely suffers from an overly-familiar structure, the film is bolstered by some truly incredible performances and dazzling visuals that will leave you mesmerized.

Here we go again. Transformers: Age of Extinction is the fourth entry in the now eight-year-old film franchise, and it’s once again helmed by the one and only Michael Bay. Love him or hate him, you can’t deny Bay’s knack for creating breathtaking spectacle, but does he have any new tricks up his sleeve, or is this just another bloated and convoluted effects extravaganza? Sadly, if you’ve seen any of the three previous Transformers flicks, you’ve seen this one as well. While it’s a slight improvement over the last two, you can’t help but feel that Bay has run his course with the franchise.

Well that was something. I’m going to be as direct and to the point as I can be: Snowpiercer is hands down the best film I’ve seen this summer, and you’d be foolish not to seek it out.

This has been a rather solid summer for R-rated comedies. Both Neighbors and 22 Jump Street have managed to find success with critics and audiences alike, and I personally quite enjoyed A Million Ways to Die in the West, even though it technically flopped. Well, it looks like audiences are being treated to yet another major R-rated comedy; Melissa McCarthy’s Tammy. Unfortunately, it’s a mediocre, self-indulgent, and unfunny affair.
