Vintage Books announced Wednesday that sales for E L James' sexually explicit trilogy have reached 100 million copies and have spent 100 weeks on The New York Times' paperback best-seller list. The novels have been translated into 51 languages, including Hebrew, Icelandic and Korean. With a film adaptation planned for 2015, many more sales are likely.

The stars of the movie "Amazing Spider-Man 2" will lead this year's global Earth Hour lights-out event on March 29 which is being coordinated in Singapore, organizers WWF said Thursday.
"Spider-Man will join the film's stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx in the event, helping to switch off the lights across Singapore's signature Marina Bay skyline," the environmental campaign group said in a statement.

Luc Besson is one of the most prolific writer-producer-directors in the business. I haven’t enjoyed a lot of his more recent films, so I wasn’t particularly excited to see “3 Days to Kill.” I’m sad to say that my low expectations were pretty much met. A security guard and driver for pop singer Justin Bieber have been arrested near Atlanta and charged with stealing a photographer's camera.
Sandy Springs, Georgia, Police Capt. Steve Rose said in a statement that Bieber was at an entertainment complex north of the Georgia capital Tuesday evening when 32-year-old bodyguard Hugo Hesny got into a confrontation with a photographer who he said had gotten too close to the singer.

"Die Hard" director John McTiernan was released from prison Tuesday after nearly a year behind bars in connection with a wire-tapping scandal, his wife said.

Google paid tribute to late Lebanese actor Hassan Alaa Eddine on Wednesday, replacing the logo on its homepage with an image of the man marking his 75th birthday.
Google replaced the first 'O' in the company's name with a picture of Alaa Eddine with his famous mustache, and added the icon of what is known as “tarboosh” on top of the last letter.
