Report: Saudi Suspect in 1996 Anti-U.S. Bombing Arrested

A key suspect in the bombing of a housing complex in Saudi Arabia that killed 19 U.S. airmen almost two decades ago has been captured, a newspaper reported Wednesday.

Ahmad Ibrahim al-Mughassil, who is wanted by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, is said to be the head of the Saudi Hezbollah's military wing, an outlawed organization whose members are drawn from the kingdom's Shiite Muslim community.

U.S. Embassy in Saudi Extends Closure to Public

The United States embassy in Saudi Arabia said it would remain closed to the public for a third day Tuesday because of "security concerns".

Consular services had initially been suspended on Sunday and Monday but the closure will continue for an extra day, a notice on the embassy website said.

Canadian 'Stable' after Stab Attack in Saudi

A Canadian citizen was in stable condition at a Saudi Arabian hospital on Saturday after being attacked in a shopping mall in the country's east, police said.

The attack came one week after a Danish citizen was shot and wounded in the kingdom's capital, a rare incident which has not been explained.
