At Least 6 Killed in Philadelphia Train Derailment

Rescuers on Wednesday combed through the mangled wreckage of a derailed train in Philadelphia after an accident that left at least six dead, as the difficult search for possible survivors continued.

Mayor Michael Nutter said the death toll could rise from the derailment on the busy northeast U.S. rail corridor as some of the 243 people on the train had not been accounted for.

U.S. Charges Four after Intercepting Gun Shipments to Lebanon

Four U.S. relatives with ties to Lebanon were charged Tuesday with conspiring to illegally ship a large number of guns and ammunition to Lebanon, hidden in supplies for refugees.

Federal agents intercepted cargo containers in March and again last week that were bound for Beirut carrying a total of 152 firearms and 16,000 rounds of ammunition, according to a criminal complaint unsealed Tuesday.

Mom Plans to Sue United Airlines after Autistic Daughter Removed from Plane

An Oregon woman said Monday she intends to sue United Airlines after her flight home made an emergency landing, and authorities removed her family from the plane after she and the flight crew had problems finding her autistic 15-year-old daughter something to eat.

Donna Beegle said her daughter, Juliette, can be a picky eater and sometimes lashes out if she doesn't get what she wants, but she hopes a lawsuit would lead to training for airline employees about dealing with people who have autism. "This is about a few, simple accommodations," she said.
