U.S. President Donald Trump's lead Iran negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have visited the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea, the US military said, with Washington and Tehran due to hold further talks soon.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington on Wednesday to "discuss with him the negotiations with Iran", the premier's office said.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Sunday ruled out Tehran ever giving up uranium enrichment in its negotiations with Washington, insisting it will not be intimidated by the threat of war with the United States.

The United States wants Ukraine and Russia to end their nearly four-year war by June, and has offered to host talks between the two sides in Florida next week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.

U.S. President Donald Trump said that Washington had "very good talks" on Iran after the two sides held an indirect dialogue in Oman, pledging another round of negotiations next week.

EU chief Ursula von der Leyen on Friday proposed a new round of sanctions on Moscow over the Ukraine war, including a ban on providing services for tankers carrying Russian crude oil.

The package, meant to be approved for the fourth anniversary of Moscow's invasion, on February 24, also targets Russian banks, cryptocurrency traders and metal exports.

The United States on Friday urged three-way talks with Russia and China to set new limits on nuclear weapons, after the last treaty between top nuclear powers Washington and Moscow expired.

Thomas DiNanno, the under secretary of state for arms control, told the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva that "serial Russian violations, growth of more worldwide stockpiles and flaws in New Start's design and implementation gives the United States a clear imperative to call for a new architecture that addresses the threats of today, not those of a bygone era".

The Kremlin said Friday that two days of talks with Ukraine, mediated by the United States, on how to find a possible end to the war were difficult but "constructive", saying that they will continue.

"For two days there was constructive and very difficult work," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters a day after the Abu Dhabi negotiations ended, adding: "they will continue."

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said Friday that Lebanon's army must be given the means to disarm militant group Hezbollah and replace a United Nations peacekeeping force after its mandate ends this year.
