No positive developments are expected over the next days in Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri's efforts to put together a new government but the Consultative Gathering wishes him success, MP Faisal Karami said on Tuesday.

“We hope he will form a national unity government,” said Karami after talks in Ain el-Tineh with Speaker Nabih Berri.

Hizbullah on Monday condemned a Bahraini court's confirmation of life sentences against opposition leader Sheikh Ali Salman and ex-MPs Ali al-Aswad and Hassan Sultan, as it stressed that “dialogue is the only way to resolve” the kingdom's disputes.

The website of the Rafik Hariri International Airport in Beirut was hacked by a group naming itself the “Syrian Revolutionary Group”, media reports said on Monday.

Speaker Nabih Berri called the Parliament Bureau for a meeting on Wednesday at noon, the National News Agency reported on Monday.
