Report: Hizbullah, FPM Political Rift Increases

The political rift between Hizbullah and Free Patriotic Movement that surged to the surface lately has increased after Hizbullah ministers approved Prime Minister Najib Miqati’s wage hike proposal, al-Liwaa newspaper reported on Thursday.
“The conflict (between the two parties) require a meeting between Hizbullah Chief (Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah) and (FPM leader) Michel Aoun,” Hizbullah sources told the daily.
An FPM leader accused Hizbullah of “lying” because it’s not backing up its strategic political ally.
Hizbullah ministers Mohammed Fneish and Hussein Hajj Hassan voted in favor of Miqati’s wage hike proposal knocking down Labor Minister Charbel Nahhas’ package, which included a more comprehensive proposal, but according to Fneish requires “further discussions.”
Miqati proposed a minimum wage increased by LL100,000 to LL600,000, salaries under LL1 million by 30% up to a LL200,000 increase, and salaries above LL1 million by a 20% increase up to LL275,000.
However, Nahhas proposed adding transportation allowances to basic salaries, providing health care coverage for all Lebanese residents by adding taxes on real estate transactions and a 16.3 percent wage hike to all salaries without specifying a certain ceiling for the increase.

After the fall of Assad, many lebanese will jump off the hizzie ship, that is a reality.. to stay with the hizzie is to pay dear political cost. I doubt that the hizzie would have the monopoly over the shee3a come 2013 anyway, look at iraq the shee3a community there is not all pro iran either contrary to popular belief. People follow the voice of reason and masla7a, what is the smart thing in making millions of enemies in the Arab world in this Arab storm??

@ galiboun, elie k, and Bigdig, the Hezb cannot afford a higher wage, because it is already employing 3/4of the chiite population , its too expensive, might as well replace them with american soldier drones, ohwait, it is al 3adou's technology, i guess its time to say goodbye...i laugh every time i hear a aounist or a hezbo think they are friends, the only interest for Michel aoun is the presidency and the only interest for the Hezb is lebanon. but didnt you know that if Aoun the crazy comes president , he will probably want to destroy the hezb because he wants only one authority and it is his. By the way, what happened to the natural gas off lebanese coasts? i thought the hezb was willing to fight for it against el 3adou? we all want another " divine" victory, but please this time, try to build some self defense against F16's , i need the Casino bridge to get to the north faster...
