4 Hurt in Tripoli as Dispute between Families Erupts into Gunfight
The army intervened to contain the situation after four people were wounded in an armed clash between two families in the Tripoli neighborhood of Bab al-Tabbaneh.
“An armed clash erupted between two families in Tripoli's al-Shaarani and gunshots and RPGs are being fired,” OTV reported.
“Four people were wounded in the armed clash between the families of Dahdah and Jaybou in the al-Shaarani and Hariri Project areas in Tripoli,” it added.
Meanwhile, MTV said the army was trying to bring the violence under control.
The Facebook page Tripoli News Network said heavy gunfire was heard in the city and that two hand grenades were hurled in the vicinity of the Hariri residential complex amid sniper activity.
