The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, MP Mohammed Raad noted on Friday that those behind Thursday’s incident at the Telecommunications Ministry were seeking to “cover up several scandals that are aimed at toppling the state.”
He therefore called on the Lebanese army to protect the Finance Ministry “to avoid a repeat of the Telecommunications Ministry incident.”
The incident reveals the other camp’s unilateral view of governing the country, which says that “if we can’t rule then no one else can,” he continued.
The MP said: “We have heard several accusations against us that we have violated the state and heard demands that we should adhere to it.”
“Yesterday’s development was the latest example of their attempt to respect the state,” Raad added.
“If this is the state they are aspiring for then let them have it,” he declared.
