Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich will be without defensive midfielder Javier Martinez and winger Franck Ribery for Sunday's match against Bayer Leverkusen.
Ribery still has muscular problems in his right thigh, while Martinez is carrying a hip injury ahead of the match against Leverkusen at Munich's Allianz Arena with Bayern chasing their ninth straight league win.
There was some good news for the hosts as fragile Dutch winger Arjen Robben, who picked up a hamstring injury at the end of September, has trained for the past few days with the team.
"It is very positive that he is free of pain again," said Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes, who added Robben could be included in the matchday squad.
In mid-week, Robben admitted that a run of constant injuries in recent years had left him considering retirement.
"It makes no sense to return quickly, I have to be really fit again," he said.
Bayern too can expect to welcome back soon striker Mario Gomez, who is also nearing full fitness.
