Lebanese star Omar El Halabi to headline martial arts event in Thailand this Friday
Lebanese Muay Thai star Omar El Halabi is set to compete in the main event of martial arts event ONE Friday Fights 75 this Friday, August 16.
El Halabi faces Thai opponent Kompet Fairtex in a Catchweight (57.6 Kg) Muay Thai contest at Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium in the 75th installment of ONE Championship’s weekly fight series.
Nicknamed “Ironside”, El Halabi picked up a big win against decorated Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai champion Yodthongthai Sor Sommai in December last year.
The 26-year-old Lebanese will look to utilize his intense pressure style, blistering punches, and low kicks, as he hopes to improve his 1-2 record at the martial arts organization but faces a big test.
Kompet, who is a two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai champion, is on a four-win-streak.
ONE Friday Fights 75 kicks off at 3:30 PM Beirut and will be broadcast live on ONE Championship’s official website through watch.onefc.com.
