Paris Saint-Germain suffered their first defeat of the Ligue 1 season on Sunday after losing 2-0 at Rennes as Lionel Messi's wait for a first goal in the French top flight continued.
Messi smacked the crossbar with a free-kick in the first half at Roazhon Park but goals from Gaetan Laborde and Flavien Tait earned Rennes a victory that put an end to PSG's perfect start following eight consecutive wins.
