ISF Seizes Opioids with Juvenile Inmate in Roumieh
Stashes of opioids have been found with a juvenile inmate inside Roumieh prison after his hospitalization where he'd been for treatment, the Internal Security Forces said in a statement on Tuesday.
"Members tasked with searching the Juveniles' block in Roumieh prison, and in coordination with the Information Branch, seized quantities of opioids with inmate Aa.F., which accounted for 611 Benzhexol and Tramadol pills, in addition to two capsules containing a white powder," the statement read.
The inmate was searched thoroughly after he returned from hospital. Police found a plastic bottle, where he stashed the pills in, hidden under his garments.
The prisoner admitted to having obtained the opioids from a person from the hospital whom he identified as A.SH.
