Hariri Receives Acting UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon
Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri held talks on Thursday at the Center House with the Acting United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Pernille Dahler Kardel, in the presence of his advisor Nadim Mounla, the Premier’s office said in a statement on Thursday.
Discussions focused on the general situation and the developments in Lebanon and the region, and the missions carried out by the UN organizations.
Cardel had urged Lebanese leaders on Wednesday to form a national unity government capable of “disarming all armed groups,” and hoped that the situation would be ready for the return of Syrian refugees back to their homeland.
